Dream Light was established in 2017–2018 and is governed by the India Trust Act 1882 as a non-profit organization in Kolar District, Karnataka. We strongly believe in building or creating a society that focuses on improving life skills to create the changes required for a better future. Our work towards gender equality works to develop and uphold standards and create an environment in which every woman and girl can exercise her human rights and live up to her full potential. So far we have reached more than 6000 women in Kolar district.

OUR MISSION
- To arouse the interest of children and youth in providing new knowledge and improving skills in their attitude toward making rational decisions to solve their problems. - Improving the living conditions of children and youth by fighting against harassment and sexual abuse, and carrying needs. - To initiate skill development and other skill-upgradation activities for strengthening the economy of the target population, with a special focus on women and youth.
Dream Light provides legal awareness, counseling, and assistance to victims of domestic violence/abuse and their rehabilitation through vocational training in cutting and tailoring. The Center is a catalyst for bringing about social, economic, and legal empowerment of disadvantaged women; Promoting micro-enterprises and entrepreneurship development through self-help groups.
Dream Light Library Inauguration
We have inaugurated a library of dream lights in Malur village. Counselors and lawyers participated in the program as guests.
Awareness Program on Prevention of Sexual Offenses Against Children
We organized an Awareness Program on the Prevention of Sexual Offenses Against Children Act in Malur. During this program, we explained the POCSO Act to students. The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act was enacted in 2012 by the Government of India to protect children from offenses of sexual abuse, sexual harassment, and pornography. We mainly focus on the well-being of the child as ensuring health is of utmost importance Physical, emotional, mental and social development of the child.
Class for Students
We have arranged for BSW students to teach classes at Malur's Ambedkar Residential School on 3/2/21.
Workshop on Women's Rights
The Dream Organization hosted a workshop on January 23rd, 2021, where they discussed the prevention of sexual harassment and the rights of women in employment at Industrial Exeed Company, Narasapur, Malur.
